Benzene Adiabatic Nitration
In 2020, we started working on the Adiabatic Nitration of Benzene project in Ostrava. It involved the supply, fabrication and assembly of auxiliary steel structures, pre-production and assembly of the pipelines of class 11 and 17. On Friday 26th November, a new adiabatic nitration unit with a capacity of 140 kt and a successful performance test was commissioned.
Our company participated in the installation of the piping of this another landmark at MCHZ BorschodChem Ostrava. The realization of our scope took more than 1 year and involved up to 40 workers continuously. In total, we worked over 65,000 hours.
The entire investment was very demanding in terms of time and organization and required intensive commitment and cooperation of many participants over the long term, both from the customer, the investor, the design organization, and all subcontracting companies, including us.
We would like to thank all the staff involved for their great cooperation, effort and attitude. Especially to our direct customer PROMONT a.s. and the engineering company ZVU Engineering.
Since January 2021, the installation of pipeline routes and additional steel structures has already started on site.

- Pipe quantity: 89 000 kg - 8 400 m.
- Production of pipe's supports : 34 000 kg.

In the second half of 2021, we successfully completed Phase 3 of the project Subsequently, comprehensive testing was underway.
Despite all the problems caused by the constraints of COVID-19, we successfully completed the contract thanks to the dedication of our installers and construction management. We thank all of our staff, associates, contractors and our customer for their confidence.
On July 13, 2021, the contract was successfully handed over to the client.
